This role involves leading financial process improvement and operational transformation initiatives. You will drive change, think independently, and communicate clearly to support recommendations across functional teams. You will lead SOX risk assessments, readiness initiatives, and process/control improvement efforts to influence and drive action.
Lead month-end close activities, including expense reviews, accruals, reclassification journal entries, and the application of appropriate accounting treatments
Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, SOX requirements, applicable regulations, and company policies
Prepare, analyze, and deliver financial reporting packages for corporate and executive leadership, including management reporting, ad hoc analysis, and actionable business insights
Oversee recurring close and reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of financial information
Partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business priorities, provide strategic financial guidance, and support informed decision-making
Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement by promoting best practices across teams and functions
Identify, challenge, and enhance existing processes, controls, and ways of working to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness to evolving business needs
Drive process automation and digital transformation initiatives by leveraging technology, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and business insights
Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably with accounting or professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
Adaptable and resilient, able to work effectively under pressure and manage change in a fast-paced environment
In-depth understanding of control, risk management, and compliance processes
Proficiency in using business intelligence tools, data analytics software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an added advantage
