Overview of job
Choreograph, a WPP company, is a motivated
Business Analyst with Entry level to 2 years of experience to join our dynamic data team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in
SQL,
Data Visualization,
Cloud Technologies, and
Python to support data exploration and insights generation. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the business make data-driven decisions by analyzing complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and communicating findings effectively. Choreograph Analytics & Insights is a global team with centres of excellence in Western & Central Europe, North & South America, and Asia Pacific. The role would be based out of our Asia Pacific centre in Singapore and cover multiple markets across the region.

Measures of success –
In One Month, You Will
- Have a clear understanding of the company’s data infrastructure, tools, and the datasets you’ll be working with.
- Become familiar with the team’s ongoing projects and the specific business needs you’ll be supporting.
- Begin contributing to data analysis tasks, writing SQL queries, and creating simple reports.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders and understand the key business drivers.
In Three Months, You Will
- Be proficient in handling data exploration tasks and generating insights from various data sources.
- Contribute to the creation of data visualizations and reports that provide actionable business intelligence.
- Have a good understanding of the tools and processes in use, and actively contribute to improving these processes.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of data-driven goals.
In Six Months, You Will
- Take ownership of specific data analysis projects, delivering insights that influence business strategies.
- Develop advanced visualizations and dashboards that make complex data accessible and actionable for business leaders.
- Leverage Python and other tools to automate data analysis tasks and improve efficiency.
- Start taking a leadership role in certain areas, offering solutions to challenges and streamlining data processes.
- Begin exploring advanced data technologies, such as machine learning or big data platforms, to enhance analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Data Exploration and Insights Generation: Explore large datasets to identify patterns and trends that inform business decisions. Generate actionable insights through data analysis.
- SQL & Data Manipulation: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization platforms to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Python for Data Analysis: Apply Python for data wrangling, statistical analysis, and automation of repetitive tasks in data workflows.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data analysis and reporting requirements.
- Cloud Technologies: Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to access, store, and process data for analysis.
- Support Decision-Making: Assist in data-driven decision-making by providing timely and accurate reports, dashboards, and insights that drive business strategies.

Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience writing queries to manipulate and analyze data.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to Python and its use in data analysis and automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Good To Have
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop.
- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling and hypothesis testing.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
