Business Analyst, Corporate Office – Asia Pacific

The Business Analyst will support business activities across the APAC Corporate Office and APAC Client Group.

Duties and Responsibilities

Corporate Office Business Analysis

Materials preparation

  • Coordination of quarterly board papers
  • Review of inputs and work with markets to edit if required
  • Ensure that board materials are completed and circulated in a timely manner
  • Board schedule preparation
  • Provide support for other internal and external meetings material preparations

Regional and Group Requests

  • Support regular and Ad-Hoc requests from Regional and Group
  • Including Business Impact Analysis, Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment, Records Retention Schedule, Personal Data Inventory etc.
  • Take charge of internal and external survey requests

Projects

  • Assist and deliver on strategic projects as determined by the Management Team
  • Provide analysis support for assessment of strategic initiatives

Client Group Management Information

  • Preparation of monthly management information and reports, covering performance against budget, sales results & outlook, strategic progress, KPIs and key issues encountered
  • Co-ordinate escalation of AUM & flow queries to relevant teams to ensure accuracy of reporting on the APAC sales performance
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis on specific areas of interest (key clients, products etc) with recommendations for action
  • Develop and monitor regional business plans (once a year in July); co-ordinating and collaborating with stakeholders in conjunction with Management Team. Ensure that they are aligned to the growth targets and profitability of the region
  • Leverage external market analysis that is available to provide context to APAC client group performance & support insights / recommendations
  • Other tasks as determined by Management Team

Core Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficient in Powerpoint, Excel
  • Business planning and analysis experience
  • Salesforce experience is desirable (but not a pre-requisite)
  • Knowledge of the asset management industry in APAC (i.e. investment asset classes, markets and products/solutions), distribution channels (Wholesale/Institutional) is desirable (but not a pre-requisite)
  • Strong ability to plan effectively, rally and influence constituents and take initiative
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and can work independently
  • High level of personal integrity, regard for our clients and respect for colleagues
  • Strong team ethos, with an ability to work in both a supporting and leading role
