We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to initiate and facilitate requirement gathering and discovery sessions with business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business users and project teams to define scope, translate business needs into clear requirements, and ensure alignment of deliverables with business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements and deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Initiate and lead requirement gathering discussions and discovery sessions with business stakeholders to understand business challenges and goals.
  2. Collaborate with business users to define project scope, develop detailed approaches, and ensure alignment between project deliverables and strategic business objectives.
  3. Understand, validate, and document business needs; recommend and implement improvements in processes, systems, or workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
  4. Translate business needs into clear, concise Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and obtain formal approval from all relevant stakeholders.
  5. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flow diagrams, user stories, and user manuals/guides.
  6. Identify gaps between business requirements and technical solutions; work closely with development teams, Solution Managers, PMO, vendors, and users to resolve issues.
  7. Provide ongoing support during the development and testing phases, including clarifying requirements and actively participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  8. Monitor progress of deliverables to ensure timely completion in accordance with the project plan.
  9. Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to track project milestones, escalate risks, and ensure successful delivery within defined timelines.
  10. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  11. Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services or insurance industry.
  12. Strong understanding of domain-specific regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  13. Excellent requirement elicitation, documentation, and communication skills.
  14. Experience with business process modeling and documentation tools.
  15. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  16. Ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
  17. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
