Key Responsibilities
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand, gather, and analyze business needs, translating them into clear and actionable requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and development units to ensure alignment of business goals and technical solutions.
- Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders to validate requirements, define project scope, and gather feedback.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive business and functional specification documents tailored to development and QA teams.
- Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX designers, and testers throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business expectations.
- Manage and prioritize change requests while ensuring all updates are clearly documented and communicated across teams.
- Support development and testing teams in clarifying requirements, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth handovers.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), gather feedback from stakeholders, and track issues through to resolution.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to foster transparency and project success.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in business analysis, systems development, or product lifecycle roles—preferably in a fast-paced or agile development environment.
- Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical and business information.
- Strong analytical thinking, critical problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools.
- Working knowledge of business analysis techniques such as requirement gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder analysis.
- Familiarity with business process modeling tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN, flowcharts).
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Exposure to SQL/MySQL and data querying for business insight is a plus.
- Understanding of modern systems architecture such as APIs, microservices, and XML is an added advantage.
- Certification such as IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) or equivalent is a plus.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing changing priorities in dynamic environments.
