Job description

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Building/Plant/Facility Engineer to join our team!

Asiamost Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary of AME Elite Consortium Berhad, specializing in fire-fighting and electrical systems for buildings. Our company has over 40 employees working towards excellence, focusing on talent development to support our expanding business.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and employee guidelines.
  2. Evaluate team performance and promote professional development. Manage attendance, absences, and vacations.
  3. Build the capability of Facility Technicians regarding equipment, controls, and systems; establish daily work standards.
  4. Apply Lean principles to foster continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
  5. Interact effectively with all facility customers and departments, fulfilling job requests promptly.
  6. Attend to job requests within 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on urgency, and follow up closely.
  7. Develop training materials, write SOPs, and verify activities as per documented instructions.
  8. Lead root-cause analysis for equipment issues, implement corrective and preventive actions.
  9. Report safety, quality, and compliance concerns to leadership.
  10. Assist with audits, inspections, and license renewals (e.g., DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, etc.).
  11. Conduct periodic reviews and maintain compliance documentation aligned with QMS.
  12. Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs for facilities systems, including HVAC, biosafety cabinets, cold rooms, and others.
  13. Perform ISO class qualification activities for cleanrooms, maintaining standards per ASHRAE guidelines.
  14. Troubleshoot technical issues with hands-on expertise.
  15. Handle pharmaceutical documentation such as deviations, investigations, SOPs, and calibration logs.
  16. Monitor and control systems like BAS, BMS, EMS, ensuring proper operation.
  17. Manage safety permits, conduct hazard analyses, and assist EHSS team.
  18. Participate in emergency drills and analyze trends to implement corrective actions.
  19. Contribute to quality plans ensuring minimal disruptions.
  20. Train technicians and contractors as needed.
  21. Maintain knowledge of electrical works, HVAC, chiller, cooling tower operations, and LEV systems.
  22. Ensure adherence to QMS standards for HVAC and related systems.
  23. Manage calibration activities and prepare monthly reports.
  24. Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and manage contractors and vendors.
  25. Draft service agreements and manage system applications like PRONTO.
  26. Be adaptable to undertake new tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in electrical & electronics engineering or related field.
  2. 2-3 years of experience with facilities systems, preferably in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or cleanroom industries.
  3. Experience supervising or leading a facilities division in a high-volume environment.
  4. Chargeman certification is an advantage.
  5. Process-oriented with strong data-driven decision-making skills.
  6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong PC skills and troubleshooting abilities.
  8. Extensive knowledge of facility systems, equipment, and electronic development.
  9. Proficient in MS Office applications.
