Building Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Knight Frank Property Management Sdn Bhd as a Building Manager. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of commercial or residential properties within Johor Bharu. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of these properties, working closely with the wider Property Management team.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage and coordinate the maintenance, cleaning, and security services for the properties
2. Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures to maintain high standards of property management
3. Liaise with tenants, owners, and external contractors to address any issues or concerns
4. Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
5. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement to enhance the overall tenant experience
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
7. Provide regular reports and updates to the management team

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a building or facilities management role, preferably in the commercial and/or residential property sector
2. Strong knowledge of property management principles, including maintenance, security, and tenant relations
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
4. Proficient in budget management and financial reporting
5. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
6. Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
