Job summary

Flex is seeking a Security Manager based in Perai, Penang to lead and implement safety and security programs across the site, assess risks, ensure continuity, and protect personnel and assets in compliance with company and government standards.

You will manage security programs, conduct threat assessments, enforce policies, and partner with Legal and HR on due diligence, while overseeing contracted guards and coordinating with regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and training.
• 9+ years of progressively responsible positions in corporate security or related area.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and customer relationship abilities.
• Knowledge of Flex business and security systems; strategic across sites.
• Thorough knowledge of related security systems and software.
• Expert knowledge of the function and Flex’s business.

Responsibilities

• Development and execution of security programs including physical security, asset control, supply chain security, travel security, executive protection, information security and site management partnership.
• Management of security programs for assigned sites, perform threat and vulnerability assessments, physical security surveys and designs, personal protection awareness and travel briefings, threat advisories, and protective service operations.
• Identify and maintain security processes, practices and policies to eliminate risks and limit exposure in information, financial, physical, personal, and reputation risk.
• Perform investigations involving burglary, theft, in-transit shortages, crimes against persons and property, and business abuse.
• Partner with Legal and Human Resources to assist with due diligence investigations.
• Manage fraud, waste and abuse reporting and information reward program.
• Build partnerships across site and regional teams with security providers, site management and law enforcement.
• In charge of criminal intelligence collection and research.
• Site crisis management through resiliency programs and policy communication.
• Administers counter-terrorism and counter-espionage programs.
• Assist Flex’s marketing efforts by planning protection for customer visits and conducting site visits with customers’ security reps.
• Guide contracted security officers and other providers.
• Influence metrics and awareness programs.
• Prepare and manage site security budget and forecasting.
