Job description

Operate and monitor steam boilers, pressure vessels, and related equipment.

Maintain optimal pressure, temperature, and water levels in the boiler system.

Monitor the system for leaks, malfunctions, or other operational issues.

Control the flow of fuel, air, and water into the boiler for efficient operation.

2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of boilers and related equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identify faults, and initiate corrective actions.

Replace or repair components like valves, gaskets, and pipes as necessary.

Ensure that safety valves, pressure gauges, and other instrumentation are functioning properly.

3. Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all boiler systems are operated in accordance with safety regulations and codes.

Conduct regular safety checks and safety drills to ensure a safe working environment.

Maintain and complete records of boiler operations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

Comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.

4. Efficiency & Energy Management:

Optimize fuel consumption to achieve cost efficiency.

Monitor water treatment processes to prevent scaling and corrosion.

5. Record Keeping and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of boiler performance and maintenance logs.

Prepare reports for management regarding operational status, maintenance, and potential improvements.

Document any irregularities or incidents and follow proper reporting procedures.

Requirement:

• Certification: Boilerman Grade 2 Certificate from DOSH Malaysia.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of boiler operations, safety procedures, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Good knowledge of water treatment and boiler chemical dosing.
• Ability to work in high-temperature environments.
• Physically fit to handle manual tasks and equipment inspections.
