Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced BIM Designer to produce CAD and BIM Revit drawings for C&S works at our Kuala Lumpur site. You will work toward deadlines set by the Project Manager or BIM Manager, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely submissions.

Responsibilities include updating 3D BIM models, coordinating 2D drawings, and maintaining rigorous records per ISO standards. Diploma in Civil Engineering and strong coordination skills are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design coordination for large engineering projects.
• Experience in infrastructure and railway sectors preferred.
• Proficient in BIM/CAD drafting and coordination.

Job Description

• Production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for C&S works
• Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager
• Responsible for the quality of production
• Prepare and update 3D BIM models for submissions.
• Participate in the production of 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Office or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and the drawing submission schedule is achieved.
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, BIM Register in accordance with the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensure all the drawings are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.
• Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM-Model and related activities
• Work under the supervision of BIM Manager and perform work task assigned.
• Ensures timely Responsible for producing and amending engineering design drawings prepared by the Design Team and manage workload.
• Liaising with BIM engineers in other offices to help coordinate design delivery.
• Ability to produce all 2D and 3D design drawings information required for any type of structure wide range of tasks in support of the technical staff

Qualifications

• Preferably with minimum 5 years of working experience in design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business, and preferably in infrastructure and railway sector.
• Familiar in operation and have good knowledge of software such as Revit, Aecosim, MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Good planning skills in managing modelling and drafting work
• Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when requiredGood interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines
