Job summary

Veritas Design Group in Kuala Lumpur seeks a BIM Technician to develop and manage 3D BIM models and architectural drawings in alignment with project requirements. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve clashes and ensure compliance with BIM standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining models, updating drawings, and supporting planning, tender, construction, and as-built submissions, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop 3D BIM models based on architectural design requirements and project specifications.
• Produce accurate architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details using BIM software.
• Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate BIM models with architects, engineers, and other consultants to identify and resolve design clashes.
• Ensure all BIM models and drawings comply with company standards, project requirements, and BIM protocols.
• Assist in preparing documentation for planning, tender, construction, and as-built submissions.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and implement agreed changes to the models.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, model files, and drawing revisions.
• Support the project team with model visualization, quantity take-offs, and other BIM-related tasks when required.
• Ensure assigned work is completed accurately and within the project schedule.
• Comply with the company’s policies, procedures, and quality management system.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Architect, BIM Manager, or Management.

• Coordinate BIM information with internal teams and external consultants under the supervision of the Project Architect or BIM Manager.
• Recommend improvements to BIM workflows and modelling standards.
