Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a CAD/BIM Designer responsible for generating CAD and BIM drawings, coordinating with engineers, and updating models. Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of BIM Modelling experience for MEP, proficiency in CAD, Revit MEP software, and strong English communication skills. Knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese is a plus, as the team collaborates with Hong Kong offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years working experience in BIM Modelling for MEP.
• Proficiency in CAD, Revit MEP & MS Office applications.
• Good command in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge in written Mandarin and spoken Cantonese will be prioritized.

Job description

Overview

Generate CAD or BIM drawings in accordance with the engineer’s sketch and comments. Produce construction drawings using REVIT and CAD software. Coordinate with the engineer to produce detailed model/drawings, including dimensions, detail views and sections. Demonstrate a good understanding of drawing representations. Possess strong knowledge to work efficiently with CAD & Revit MEP software. Create building services drawings based on essential technical knowledge.

Work with local and team members abroad to provide supporting services for the Hong Kong office and liaise between the Hong Kong and Malaysian offices. Coordinate and collaborate among working teams to ensure all jobs are accurate and meet requirements. Create and update BIM models based on drawings and latest information to build BIM libraries.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years working experience in BIM Modelling for MEP.
• Proficiency in PC knowledge including CAD, Revit MEP & MS Office applications.
• Good command in spoken and written English.
• To support and service our clients in Hong Kong, candidates with knowledge in written Mandarin and spoken Cantonese will be prioritized.
