SUMMARY
- We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Modeller (Electrical) to support the modelling, coordination, and documentation of electrical systems in building projects.
- The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks, and will be responsible for creating accurate and coordinated electrical models and drawings in line with project specifications and standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create accurate 2D and 3D electrical models using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and other BIM software.
- Develop electrical layout drawings, single‑line diagrams, cable tray routing, ELV systems, and other electrical services.
- Generate construction documents, detailed shop drawings, and installation drawings for on‑site use.
- Perform clash detection between electrical systems and other trades (architectural, structural, and MEP) using Navisworks Manage or BIM 360.
- Ensure all electrical components are modelled with correct specifications, dimensions, and materials.
- Review and validate models and drawings for accuracy, compliance with standards, and regulatory codes.
- Maintain and update models based on site mark‑ups, design changes, or as‑built conditions.
- Coordinate with BIM Coordinators, Electrical Engineers, and other MEP disciplines to resolve design and routing issues.
- Prepare and update material schedules, quantity take‑offs, and assist in OMM and as‑built submissions.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest BIM standards, modelling techniques, and industry best practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in BIM modelling for electrical systems in building projects.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Familiar with shop drawing standards, CSD (Combined Services Drawings), and SEM (Structural‑Electrical‑Mechanical) coordination.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, ELV, and earthing.
- Strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
