Job summary

Organo (Asia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a BIM Specialist to lead BIM tool adoption and model development across regional projects. You will create detailed 3D representations using Revit, generate shop drawings, and coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure up-to-date, accurate BIM datasets.

The role requires hands-on BIM modeling, strong knowledge of standards, and willingness to be stationed on site as project needs arise.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Architectural, Civil & Structural, or Electrical & Mechanical.
• At least 3 years of BIM modeling experience in Electrical & Mechanical projects.
• Proficient with Revit and BIM-related tools.
• Willing to be stationed on site as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead adoption of BIM tools and processes at regional and project level.
• Work with clients to create detailed models based on goals, objectives, and constraints.
• Create and update BIM models from contract drawings and latest information.
• Develop BIM models with correct parameters and attributes.
• Generate documentation and shop drawings for BIM models.
• Produce BIM deliverables for construction, documentation and fabrication.
• Assist BIM Coordinators with updating BIM models throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors to align on project plan.
• Create 3D models of buildings using Revit.
• Develop 3D models for water and wastewater systems (equipment, piping, supports, instruments, cable trays).
• Develop drawings showing construction sequence based on engineer design.
• Demonstrate understanding of BIM processes, standards across project lifecycle.

Job description

Support/lead the adoption of BIM tools and processes at the regional and project level

Working with clients to create detailed models based on their needs, including identifying project goals, objectives, and constraints.

Create and update BIM Models based on contract drawings and latest information

Develop BIM Models with the correct parameters and attributes for BIM

Generate documentation and shop drawings for BIM Models

Produce BIM Model deliverables for Construction, documentation and fabrication.

Assist BIM Coordinators in creating, updating and revising BIM Models throughout the project life cycle BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows and project set up

Identify issues for BIM Coordinators where discrepancies occur during design stage

Communicating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are on the same page.

Coordinating with other members of the BIM team to ensure that all components of the model are up to date.

Creating 3D models of buildings using computer aided design (CAD) software such as Revit

Creating 3D models for Water and Wastewater Treatment System such as Equipment, Pipings, Structural supports, Instrument, Cable Tray

Developing drawings to show how construction will take place based on the design provided by engineers.

Demonstrating a solid understanding of BIM processes, standards and construction processes across all stages of the project lifecycle

Requirements:

Degree or equivalent in Architectural / Civil & Structural/ Electrical & Mechanical

At least 3 Year(s) of relevant experience in Electrical & Mechanical BIM Models related projects. Knowledge in Water and Waste Water Treatment System will be an advantage.

Well versed in Revit, BIM 360, Naviswork Manage

Knowledge in Plant 3D will have an added advantage.

Able to complete models, shop drawings in timely and quality manner

Required to be station at site based on project requirement
