Job summary

A construction contracting company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a qualified BIM Coordinator to manage BIM Modeling and coordinate with various design disciplines. The ideal candidate will ensure construction document accuracy, collaborate with different teams, and leverage BIM software for efficient project execution. This role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to adherence to BIM standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with BIM Modeling for specific design disciplines.

• Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans and construction requirements.

• Ensure accuracy of construction documents based on BIM Modeling.

• Prepare for and participate in BIM Coordination Meetings.

Job description

1. BIM Modeling for specific design discipline.

2. Work under direction of design professional and BIM Manager.

3. Ensure construction documents accuracy based on discipline BIM Modeling.

4. Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines design-changes and model challenges.

5. Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.

6. Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.

7. May take the lead on developing some discipline specific BIM modelling content for the project.

8. Print drawing sets for professional teams and participate in discipline reviews.

9. Prepare own discipline model and/or content for BIM Coordination Meetings.

10. Ability to export RVT and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.

11. Leveraging BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design documentation.

12. Reading specifications to determine construction requirements and planning procedures;

13. Organizing and coordinating the material and human resources required to complete jobs;

14. Examining and inspecting work progress;

15. Examining equipment and construction sites to ensure that health and safety requirements are met;

16. Supervising construction sites and coordinating work with other construction projects;

17. Report to Managing Director, Project Director, Project Manager and Chief Operation Officer everyday.

18. Work closely with Project Engineer to supervise and schedule the activities of workers engaged in the construction and repair of buildings and structures.
