Wesley Methodist School (WMS) in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Daycare Assistant for Kindergarten to support primary-aged children in after-school care. You will assist with homework, provide English and second-language support (Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia), and lead engaging enrichment activities promoting academic growth and personal development.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM/STPM; Diploma or Degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and teach effectively in English and either Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia
• Previous experience working with primary school children is an advantage.
• Passionate about education and child development.
• First aid and CPR certification is an added benefit.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and guide children during after-school hours.
• Provide homework support for all subjects mainly in English and second language (Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia).
• Plan and lead engaging enrichment activities such as Reading, STEAM, Smart Mind (HOTS), Leadership Skills or Character-building.
• Promote positive behaviours and social development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
• Support children emotional and academic needs with care and patience.
• Communicate clearly with parents regarding children progress and well-being.
• Assist with hygiene routines, meals, and transitions between activities.
• Attend training, meetings, and contribute to school events as required.
• Comply with all school's policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety standards.
