Job description

An award-winning global law firm is seeking a Bids Manager to join their Birmingham/Bristol offices. This role involves developing internal bids and BD processes to support the group’s growth plans, managing the bids pipeline, and engaging in wider BD activities.

The Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Board and partners to anticipate client needs and guide how bids will be scored.
  • Ensure an organized and controlled process to drive bids forward through personal commitment.
  • Develop winning strategies for each bid, considering optimal commercial approaches.
  • Work with stakeholders to create models for profitable offers aligned with client needs and bid strategies.
  • Produce initial draft documents with strategies and responses aligned to tender criteria.
  • Manage the bids pipeline and conduct bid workshops to maximize success chances.
  • Understand best practices in bid modeling, propose process improvements, and manage projects to implement these enhancements.
  • Support the Senior Bids and BD Manager in various business activities.

The Candidate:

  • Experience managing bids and supporting business development, preferably in professional services.
  • Strong strategic and commercial awareness, with industry and competitor insights.
  • Knowledge of pitch presentation skills and best practices.
  • Experience in coaching or managing team members.
