Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive Bid Manager to lead a team producing documentation for new business opportunities and support the business development group. You will coordinate bid processes, prepare client presentations, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales cycle.

This role sits within the Sales function and requires solid leadership and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Distribute documents to keep the business development team updated on progress.
  • Assist with the proposal of successful strategies to fulfill the requirements of identified business opportunities.
  • Coordinate the bid process to ensure timely delivery of deadlines are met.
  • Attend client site visits, meetings, and preparation of presentations.
  • Act as the liaison between the client and the company throughout the bid process.
  • Contribute to agendas for client workshops, attend and distribute minutes, and manage follow-up.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and after-sales support.
  • Raise the company profile by organizing and representing the company at industry events.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

About The Role

What You’ll Need:

  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
