Job description

A leading national law firm is seeking a Bid Manager to join their team based in Bristol. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on strategic tenders, applying best practices to increase success rates. You will craft compelling submission content and collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence pursuit strategies.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and implementation of cross-firm strategic tenders, influencing stakeholders.
  • Utilize pursuit tools for SWOT analysis, competitor analysis, stakeholder analysis, and engagement points.
  • Drive progress and achieve milestones from inception to delivery.
  • Draft compelling responses to help the firm stand out.
  • Coach teams for pitch presentations and interviews according to best practices.
  • Lead external debriefs, gathering feedback to inform future strategies.
  • Upskill marketing team and wider business, sharing expertise to support growth.
  • Manage line responsibilities, supporting team development.

The Candidate:

  • Experience in proposals within legal or professional services firms.
  • Track record supporting full bid cycles.
  • Strategic leadership and advisory skills for bid teams.
  • Excellent influencing, communication, and facilitation skills.
