Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad is seeking a BI Developer within Information Technology (BI and Analytics) to engineer and optimize enterprise BI solutions. You will handle data warehouses, dashboards, and reports to empower data-driven decisions.

The role covers end-to-end analytics lifecycle from requirements to deployment. Ideal candidates have a degree in IT-related fields and up to 1 year of BI experience with SQL and ETL tools, plus experience with Tableau, Grafana, and SSRS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related IT field.
• Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of relevant experience in data analytics/BI development.
• Proficiency in SQL with advanced query writing, joins, aggregations, and stored procedures (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
• Experience or familiarity with ETL development tools (e.g., Alteryx, WhereScape, SSIS) and data automation/schedulers.
• Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts including star/snowflake schemas, data modeling, and transformation logic.
• Ability to translate business reporting requirements into BI dashboards and reports using Tableau, Grafana, or SSRS.

Job Purpose

Engineer and optimize comprehensive BI solutions, including Data Warehouse models, interactive dashboards, and strategic reports, to drive informed business decisions.

Direct the end-to-end analytics lifecycle from requirement gathering through deployment to guarantee uncompromising data accuracy and performance stability.

Responsibilities

• 1. Engineer and maintain robust ETL pipelines to load structured data into the enterprise Data Warehouse.
• 2. Manage ETL jobs and automated schedulers to facilitate reliable, high-speed data availability.
• 3. Optimize Data Warehouse architectures to maximize system performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• 4. Design and build advanced BI dashboards using Tableau and Grafana to drive business analytics initiatives.
• 5. Author and enhance SSRS reports to deliver actionable insights for operational and business users.
• 6. Validate data accuracy and refresh cycles to facilitate real-time, data-driven business decision-making.
• 7. Translate complex business requirements into technical BI solutions and precise reporting specifications.
• 8. Produce technical documentation including multidimensional data models, technical specifications, and report mock-ups.
• 9. Execute rigorous testing and troubleshooting to guarantee the reliability and stability of BI solutions.
• 10. Oversee the full analytics lifecycle from initial design through UAT support and production deployment.
