Job Purpose:
We are seeking a BFSI Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep domain expertise in Malaysian banking regulations (conventional/Islamic), core banking, payments, and asset & wealth management. The role involves client engagement, presales support, requirement analysis, and end-to-end project delivery for technical solutions in the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Client Engagement & Presales Support:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients (banks, fintech, insurers) during meetings, understanding their pain points and proposing solutions.
- Assist in presales activities, including RFPs, demos, and solution presentations.
- Build long-term client relationships through strong communication and domain credibility.
2.Requirement Analysis & Solutioning:
- Lead requirement-gathering workshops with banks/financial institutions.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications (e.g., core banking upgrades, payment gateways, digital asset management).
- Ensure compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations, Shariah law (for Islamic banking), and industry standards.
3.Project Delivery Ownership:
- Work with tech teams to design and deliver solutions (e.g., FinTech platforms, API integrations, regulatory reporting systems).
- Monitor project timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
4.Industry Leadership:
- Stay updated on Malaysian banking trends, digital transformation, and regulatory changes.
- Represent the company in BFSI forums/working groups.
Must-Have Qualifications:
10+ years in BFSI, with expertise in:
- Core Banking Systems (Finacle, Temenos, Flexcube, etc.).
- Payments & Gateways (FPX, SWIFT, DuitNow, card networks).
- Asset/Wealth Management (conventional & Islamic).
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian banking regulations (BNM, Shariah compliance).
- Presales/client-facing experience (able to articulate solutions).
- Excellent communication (English + Bahasa Malaysia is preferred).
- Technical acumen – Understands APIs, Automation, cloud banking, and digital transformation.
- Holds at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or any related field.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in Islamic Finance (e.g., Sukuk, Takaful).
- Prior work with MNC banks or top Malaysian banks
- Certifications like CPA, FRM, or Islamic Finance credentials.
