Job Description - Business Development Manager

Team: Presales/Sales

Designation: Business Development Manager - Cyber Security

Job Role: Customer-facing role specializing in Cyber Security Services such as M365 and Azure Sales to the enterprise/SME market, in collaboration with local sales and business development teams.

Experience: Minimum 7 to 10+ years of Cyber Security Services Selling experience.

Shifts: Day Shifts. However, the resource may need to work Flexible Hours to provide extended support & be available on call when required.

Essential Technical Skills
  1. Drive assigned Cyber Security Services Sales and Gross Profit contribution on an allocated client portfolio within the enterprise technologies ecosystem.
  2. Collaborate with all local Sales Teams to increase sales and market penetration into the allocated portfolio of clients, delivering best-in-class customer experience.
  3. Manage the Cyber Security Services Sales pipeline working closely with customers.
  4. Assist Customer sales teams on partnership strategy, building “trusted advisor” relationships with key client decision makers, to drive adoption of cyber security services and solutions.
  5. Provide strong vision and a deep understanding of sales strategy and go-to-market to fit organization’s growth and profit expectations within the allocated portfolio of clients.
  6. Maintain a high-level of competitive product, licensing, and pricing knowledge of software publishers.
  7. Ability to complete OEM / publisher sales and technical certifications.
  8. Provide onsite customer presales support and attend vendor events when required.
  9. Interact closely with the Organization’s Technology Services Delivery Team to ensure they are up to date with important subject matter.
  10. Develop business and marketing plans and strategically execute against the plan within the timeframe committed.
  11. Develop and maintain publisher relationships to identify new business opportunities and sales engagements.
  12. Well known for cloud migrations, especially moving into security as a service, key for expanding into the new domain.
  13. Transitioned from hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity to sales roles.
  14. Experience in both security product companies and system integrators, ideally selling into existing clients.
Non-Technical Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various teams and customers.
  • Good understanding of Service Operations and Delivery.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies and strategic directions, with strong IT industry business acumen.
  • 5 years of IT selling experience, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure and Office365 (M365).
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.
  • Ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to drive results through remote teams in a fast-paced and matrix organization.
  • Proven experience in direct sales models with diverse customers such as SMEs and Enterprises.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding goals through a consultative/solution selling approach.
  • Effective teamwork skills, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
  • Organized with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sales and/or technical certifications preferred, especially Microsoft Certifications (such as MCP, MCSE, or MCITP).
  • Willingness to travel to meet customers and clients.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent certifications and experience.
