Job summary

A leading multinational company in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee Barrel and Press production activities. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing sector. Responsibilities include monitoring quality, managing the team, arranging overtime, and maintaining production schedules. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Barrel and Press production activities and monitor product quality.
• Manage and motivate the team, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Handle inventory management and prepare compliance reports.

Job description

1. Supervise Barrel and Press production activities, including trial runs and mass production.

2. Monitor and maintain product quality, addressing any issues that arise.

3. Attend meetings to discuss production progress, quality, and any operational issues.

4. Ensure production follows the plan and that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

5. Manage and motivate the team to participate in company activities (e.g., 5S, Safety)

6. Arrange overtime when necessary to meet production targets.

7. Keep track of Purchase Orders, budgets, and prepare necessary reports.

8. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the production area and facilities.

9. Manage inventory, including spare parts and raw materials, and conduct stock checks.

10. Evaluate team performance and provide training as needed.

11. Handle all Phama-C reports related to Sodium Hydroxide usage, including preparing and submitting reports on compliance and usage.

12. Any other tasks as per assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields.

2. 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.

3. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

4. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies for improving production efficiency and reducing waste.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.

6. keen eye for detail to ensure quality and accurate completion of tasks.
