1. Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, and beers.
- Follow recipes and quality standards for all drinks.
- Maintain knowledge of all beverages available, including new and seasonal menu items.
2. Juice & Fresh Beverage Preparation
- Prepare fresh juices daily according to par stock and menu requirements.
- Ensure juices are correctly labelled, stored, and used within shelf life.
- Refill juice garnishes and ingredients such as mint leaves, herbs, and fruits.
3. Customer Service
- Greet guests warmly and take beverage orders accurately.
- Provide information on coffee blends, juice options, and specialty drinks.
- Handle guest requests and concerns professionally.
4. Station Maintenance
- Ensure glassware, machines, grinders, blenders, and utensils are sanitized regularly and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Monitor daily stock levels for coffee beans, syrups, teas, spirits, fresh juices, and garnishes.
- Restock bar supplies as needed and notify the superior of any low or expiring inventory.
- Ensure FIFO practices, minimize wastage.
- Wash and polish glassware, bar tools, and small equipment.
- Assist in empty trash bins and manage recycling as needed.
- Clean up spills promptly and ensure floors are safe and dry.
- Assist with deep cleaning of bar stations at the end of the day or as scheduled.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar, including back bar, fridges, and prep areas, throughout the shift.
5. Quality Control
- Ensure all beverages meet taste, temperature, and presentation standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new beverage techniques.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Follow proper handling procedures for fresh produce and beverages.
7. Cost Control
- Avoid wastage (fresh ingredient, daily prep, ordering).
- Handle broken items with proper reporting; reduce breakage with care.
- Reduce cost/loss by double-checking orders before submitting.
8. Teamwork & Ad Hoc Support
- Collaborate with other front-of-house staff for smooth service delivery.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Assist with special events, catering, or promotional activities as requested.
- Support the team with any ad hoc tasks and special assignments as needed to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- 1 – 2 years of experience as a barista is preferred.
- Passionate about coffee, fresh juices, and customer service.
- 1 – 3 years of experience as a bartender is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and night shifts, depending on operational needs.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
