Verve Restaurant Group is excited to announce the opening of our newest outlet in Johor Bahru – a non-halal restaurant and live music bar located in the vibrant heart of Iskandar Puteri. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Bar Manager/Supervisor to be part of our dynamic opening team!

As a Bar Manager/Supervisor, your scope will encompass all areas relevant to the smooth & efficient running of bar operations.

Your main responsibilities are as follows:

1. Setting department targets & objectives, and to monitor & strive for their achievement
2. Proactive in maximising sales & generating revenue
3. Set & monitor quality & service standards for staff
4. Communicate company policy, standards & procedures to staff
5. Organise and adjust staff schedules in accordance with available resources & labor regulations
6. Delegate duties & tasks to staff to meet objectives & maximise resources
7. Coach individual bar members to develop their skills & maximise performance
8. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet SOP
9. Oversee bar display to maximise functionality & attractiveness
10. Oversee accurate cash-up procedures & ensure necessary paperwork is complete
11. Liaise with suppliers & sales representatives to ensure procurement of supplies is on the best possible terms
12. Communicate effectively with, and cooperate/assist other departments at all levels when necessary
13. Have a clear working knowledge of all company policies & operate within them at all times
14. Ensure strict adherence to beverages prep hygiene and personal hygiene guidelines at all times

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager/Supervisor or similar role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of beverage preparation and presentation
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
