The Banquet Team Leader is responsible for the efficient and professional service of food and beverages at the banquet, ensuring profitability through cost and stock control. This role involves supervising staff and ensuring all guests receive high standards of service according to hotel and Hilton International policies.

What will I be doing?

As the Banquet Team Leader, your responsibilities include:

  1. Knowing the food and beverage menu thoroughly and explaining it to guests.
  2. Understanding dietary requirements and suggesting suitable options.
  3. Completing TBS checklists on product knowledge.
  4. Making menu suggestions for guests of different nationalities.
  5. Knowing menu items of all outlets to recommend other options.
  6. Being aware of opening hours for all outlets.
  7. Recommending other restaurants and attractions to guests.
  8. Checking staff product knowledge each shift.
  9. Managing reservations and confirming large bookings.
  10. Briefing staff on shift details and preparing the restaurant for service.
  11. Greeting guests warmly, assisting with coats and bags, and escorting them to tables.
  12. Ensuring service standards are met, replenishing drinks, and checking guest satisfaction.
  13. Handling guest queries and complaints professionally, with follow-up.
  14. Training staff and leading by example.
  15. Monitoring departmental standards and performance targets.
  16. Coordinating with Engineering and Housekeeping for cleanliness and maintenance.
  17. Reviewing shifts, conducting handovers, and identifying business opportunities.
  18. Understanding and implementing OH&S legislations and safe practices.
  19. Performing other duties as assigned, with management discretion.
