The Banquet Attendant ensures efficient and professional food and beverage service, maintaining hotel standards, policies, and procedures.

What will I be doing?

• Know and explain menu contents confidently to guests.
• Understand dietary requirements and suggest suitable options.
• Label buffet dishes correctly and keep buffet areas clean.
• Complete TBS checklists on product knowledge.
• Make menu suggestions for guests of different nationalities.
• Set up restaurant areas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including table setting and equipment readiness.
• Assist bar and kitchen staff as needed.
• Greet guests warmly, assist with coats and bags, and introduce yourself.
• Escort guests to tables, offering smoking or non-smoking options.
• Offer drinks promptly after seating and present menus.
• Replenish drinks and accommodate guest requests.
• Ensure service standards are met and check guest satisfaction after each course.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Follow up on guest queries and assist with guest needs.
• Ensure all areas are tidy and well-maintained.
• Conclude guest interactions positively, thanking and wishing them well.
• Understand and adhere to OH&S regulations.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately.
• Support the F&B mission and perform additional duties as assigned.
