Job description

As a BAD Specialist (Bank Acceptance Draft), you will report to the Credit Control Manager and be based at UOA Shah Alam.

Main Responsibilities

1. Assist in developing and improving business operations and management methods related to BAD.
2. Implement and enforce standardized PPG Credit Policy across the region.
3. Maintain close communication with the Business Team; ensure reliable information exchange among Business, Treasury, Procurement, and BAD team regarding draft management.
4. Handle bank acceptance drafts (BAD) accurately, identifying and preventing associated risks.
5. Process BADs according to BAD policy and ensure proper acceptance procedures are followed.
6. Coordinate with the AR team to follow up on accounting processes and timely reconciliation of BAD accounts.
7. Work with Procurement to transfer BADs to vendors.
8. Manage BAD discounting procedures in line with business regulations and operational guidelines.
9. Provide timely and accurate analysis of BAD performance reports to assist the Business in understanding the impact of BAD collections on sales.
10. Coordinate with Treasury and beneficiary banks regarding BAD discounting.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of an advanced diploma.
2. Fresh graduates with internship experience in banking, finance, or related industries are preferred.
3. Familiarity with the business and operational modes of accepting bank acceptance drafts and discounting business.
4. Knowledge of relevant regulations, management systems, policies, and operational processes related to BAD.
5. Organized, analytical, and capable of working under pressure and long hours when necessary.
6. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
7. Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both verbal and written.
8. Resourceful team player capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
9. Computer literate, with knowledge of MS Office applications.
