Backend Web Developer (ASP.NET / PHP)

We are seeking a Web Developer with solid expertise in ASP.NET or PHP to join our team. You will work closely with Web Designers, Digital Executives, and Front-End Developers to bring ideas to life—bridging the gap between concept and technical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support web applications and custom backend systems using ASP.NET or PHP.
• Implement, customize, and extend CMS platforms such as Sitecore, WordPress, and Drupal, following industry best practices.
• Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, and secure back-end solutions.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and connect with third-party services.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including performance bottlenecks and system bugs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including designers, digital strategists, and front-end developers—to deliver functional solutions.
• Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability across all deliverables.
• Keep up with emerging technologies and propose improvements where applicable.
• Communicate effectively with internal team members and clients, ensuring alignment with project timelines and requirements.

Basic Skills

• Minimum Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills

• ASP.NET or PHP: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET frameworks (e.g., .NET Core, .NET Framework, Web API, MVC) and/or PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
• Programming: Proficient in backend development using either ASP.NET or PHP, with the ability to build scalable and maintainable systems.
• Database: Solid experience with SQL Server and/or MySQL, including efficient database schema design and query optimization.
• API Development: Proficient in creating, integrating, and maintaining RESTful APIs for internal and third-party use.
• CMS Integration: Working experience with Sitecore, WordPress, Drupal or Umbraco, including implementing custom functionalities.
• Security: Strong understanding of web application security principles—including authentication, authorization, input validation, encryption, and prevention of common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, CSRF).
• Code Quality: Ability to write clean, structured, and maintainable code; experienced in debugging and performance tuning.
• Basic Front-End Knowledge: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for integration or minor CMS templating.
• Cloud & Deployment (Preferred): Basic understanding of Azure, AWS, or equivalent platforms, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Advanced CMS Customization: Experience in custom workflows, or enterprise-level CMS architecture (especially in Sitecore, Wordpress, Drupal, or Umbraco).
• Framework Specialization: Deep familiarity with Laravel or Symfony features such as job queues, service containers, or event broadcasting.
• Sitecore Expertise: Experience with Sitecore Helix architecture, pipelines, or module development. Sitecore Developer Certification is an added advantage.
• DevOps Practices: Familiarity with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps for automation and deployment pipelines.
• Security Focus: Hands-on experience implementing secure coding standards aligned with OWASP Top 10.
• Cloud Integration (Bonus): Exposure to serverless computing, cloud functions (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda), or distributed logging systems.
