Job summary

Infinity Data in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems powering our products and services. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

The role emphasizes REST APIs, Java and Spring, databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL, and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments. Proficient in Git for version control.
• Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Self-motivated, independent, and a fast learner with a passion for backend development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs to support various applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure database structures and queries are optimized for performance and reliability.
• Maintain and improve code quality through best practices, including code reviews and automated testing.
• Work with Docker/containers for consistent development and deployment environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in a timely manner.
