Job summary

SCOR Digital Solutions is hiring a mid-level back-end developer to join the RAS engineering team in Kuala Lumpur. The role emphasizes Ruby on Rails, MVC frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools.

You will contribute to backend services, testing, automation, and production support in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of software engineering experience, solid API design skills, and familiarity with containerization and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in at least one MVC backend framework; Rails preferred.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and relational databases.
• Experience with AI tooling to augment development workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Ruby on Rails or an equivalent MVC framework, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate delivery.
• Support the planning of technical design and architecture for new features and systems.
• Manage the development, orchestration, and maintenance of agentic AI agents within the RAS platform.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end product features.
• Implement and maintain automated testing, using AI-driven tooling where appropriate while demonstrating the ability to author and debug tests manually.
• Conduct code reviews using AI-assisted tooling while applying sound manual judgment on quality, security, and maintainability.
• Contribute to database design and optimization.
• Automate and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, incorporating AI agents where viable.
• Participate in incident response and production troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose issues independently without AI assistance.
• Maintain technical documentation, using AI to draft and structure content while ensuring accuracy through manual review.
