About the job (B) Senior Network Security Engineer

This is a new role. Candidate must have NSE7 or CCNP (Security).

The company is looking for a Network Security Engineer/Consultant to join the team. The role will be a senior position within the Network Team in a System Integrator environment. The successful candidate should be at least CCNP/PCNSE/NSE4 level and capable of designing, deploying, and supporting network security architectures, including but not limited to solutions such as End-Point Security, Multi-Layer Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, NTA, ATP, Web/email security, Security Log Management, Network Security Assessment, Proxy, Load Balancers, WAF, DLP, etc.

Responsibilities

1. Act as a Senior Network Security Engineer/Consultant in the team for multiple projects involving pre- and post-sales network security design, implementation, and support.
2. Maintain presales relationships with client’s technical stakeholders.
3. Have thorough knowledge of ICT infrastructure technology inter-dependencies.
4. Develop and implement network segmentation strategies for clients.
5. Evaluate new security technologies to improve efficiency and security posture to meet business objectives.
6. Provide knowledge transfer and sharing to engineering colleagues and customers.

Required Skills and Experience

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Be mature, self-motivated, proactive, and independent.
• Have a proven track record of accomplishment as a strong self-starter.
• Speak and write fluently in English and Malay.
• Own transport, valid driving license, and passport.
• Be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
• Good understanding of Network Routing and Switching, Wireless, DNS, Firewall, WAF, IPSEC/GRE, Load Balancer, APT, IPS, IDS, VPN, Endpoint Security, DLP, SIEM, NTA, etc.
• Experience with Fortinet Security Products/Solutions is an advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years supporting at least 3 of the following technologies: Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet (Preferred), Juniper, Ruckus, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Sophos, Trend Micro, Symantec, F5, Imperva, etc.
