Job summary

OTT CREATION MARKETING seeks a qualified M&E Cost Estimator to prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions for building services projects in Malaysia. You will manage M&E costing, assist in variation costs, and liaison with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Candidates should have a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years in construction cost estimation, budgeting, and tendering; proficient in MS Project; strong communication; ability to

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost estimation, budgeting, tendering and take-off quantity
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Capable of working under pressure
• Proactively manage and build relationships with clients and consultants
• Familiar with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bill of Quantities and cost estimates for M&E works
• Implement all policies and procedures of the quality management system
• Responsible for M&E costing and contract
• Assist in preparing variation cost and cost negotiation with clients/consultants/subcontractors
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist Senior M&E Manager in providing cost comparisons and preparing M&E correspondence
• Implement project document control at HQ level
• Evaluate progress claims
• Prepare project claim schedules and coordinate tenders
• Submit tenders within the required timeline
• Undertake any other duties as instructed by supervisor

• Prepare Bill of Quantities and Cost Estimates for M&E engineering works.


• Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the quality management system.


• Responsible in the M&E costing and contract.


• Assist in preparing variation cost, cost negotiation with clients/consultants/subcontractors and to finalize project account.


• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.


• Assist Senior M&E Manager in providing cost comparisons and preparing M&E correspondence (draft).


• To implement project document control at headquarters level.


• Evaluating progress claims.


• Prepare project claim Schedules and coordinate project tenders.


• Must be highly capable in preparing and submitting tenders within time line required.


• To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.

Requirements :

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.


• Minimum 5 years of working experience in construction environment in cost estimation, budgetary, tendering and taking off quantity.


• Good interpersonal and communication skills.


• Self-motivated person and able to work independently.


• Capable for working under pressure.


• Proactively manage and build a good relationship with Client and Consultant.


• Familiar with Microsoft Project and Acad are an added advantage.
