Job summary

FNZ in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable hybrid infrastructure services.

The role focuses on Microsoft Azure alongside on-prem environments, reporting to the Lead Infrastructure Engineer (APAC), and supporting FNZ platforms and corporate systems by designing, operating, automating and improving infrastructure across Azure, virtualised data centres and core enterprise services.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience).
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience in a production environment.
• Experience with Windows Server (on-prem and Azure) and identity services including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience with hybrid/virtualised environments and integration patterns (e.g., VMware ESX/NSX).
• Automation skills using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support hybrid infrastructure (Azure and on-prem).
• Design, build and run Azure IaaS/PaaS services, including networking, security and identity.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.
• Participate in on-call support as part of a team rotation for non-office hours.
• Own and contribute to Incident, Problem and Change Management, including risk management and information security awareness.
• Maintain availability and performance through monitoring, capacity management, maintenance and third-party/vendor engagement where required.
• Deliver infrastructure initiatives and project work to agreed timelines.
• Support information security obligations and assist with audits.
• Help ensure business continuity via resilient design, backup and restore validation, DR/BCP exercises.
• Document processes and ensure key knowledge is captured to reduce operational risk.
