Job summary

NEXTDC invites an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our growing data centre presence in Malaysia. You will deploy, manage and secure Azure services to support scalable cloud operations across cross-functional teams.

Focus areas include automation, troubleshooting, and cost optimization while upholding security and data protection standards. This role offers growth within NEXTDC's expanding Asia-Pacific footprint.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are highly desirable
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Fluency in English – excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels
Flexibility and adaptability to meet deadlines and work in a growing team

Responsibilities

Deployment and configuration of Azure services to meet the organization's requirements, ensuring scalability and reliability
Monitor the performance and health of Azure resources and address issues promptly
Troubleshoot technical problems related to Azure services to minimize downtime
Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual work
Ensure Azure environments adhere to security policies and compliance standards
Monitor and optimise cloud costs to identify opportunities for cost savings
