LAVU TECH SOLUTIONS SDN. BHD. is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and OCI. The role emphasizes automation, governance, and strong collaboration with Security, App‑Dev, and Architecture teams.

You will work on IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation, implement CI/CD pipelines, and optimize resources while maintaining security controls and compliance across environments.

• Design, deploy and maintain scalable cloud infra across AWS and OCI.

• Run robust CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeStar, Bitbucket, Bamboo and OCI DevOps.
• Collaborate with Security, App‑Dev, and Architecture teams to meet compliance requirements.
• Develop governance frameworks and document architectures and runbooks.

Descripción del empleo

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and OCI environments. This role requires strong hands‑on engineering capability, deep multi‑cloud expertise, and the ability to drive automation, governance, and architectural alignment across teams. The engineer will collaborate closely with Security, App‑Dev, and Architecture teams to deliver well‑architected cloud solutions that meet business and compliance requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Deployment

• Multi-Cloud Maintenance & Optimisation: Maintain and optimise core services across AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and OCI (Compute, Block Storage, Autonomous Database, Functions).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, and OCI Resource Manager to ensure consistency across environments.
• CI/CD Orchestration: Implement robust pipelines using the AWS CodeStar stack, BitBucket, Bamboo, and OCI DevOps service.

Cloud Optimization

• Drive cost efficiency and performance tuning through resource right sizing and scalability strategies.

Architecture Alignment

• Partner with Security and App‑Dev teams to design resilient, well-architected cloud solutions.
• Technical Advocacy: Provide expert guidance on cloud best practices and document architectures, standard operating procedures, and incident root causes.
• Security Enforcement: Implement governance frameworks like AWS Control Tower and OCI Landing Zones to maintain high security standards.

Technical Skills

Networking (AWS & OCI)

• Hybrid Connectivity: Hands‑on experience with AWS Direct Connect and OCI FastConnect, including cross‑cloud peering and VPN configurations.
• Networking Stack: AWS Stack: Proficiency in Control Tower Landing Zone, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, NACLs, Security Groups, and AWS Network Firewall. OCI Stack: Expertise in OCI Landing Zone, Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN), Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRG), Service Gateways, and OCI Network Firewall.
• Core Fundamentals: Deep understanding of IPv4, BGP, and Next‑Gen Firewalls.

DevOps & Programming

• IaC Tools: Expert level in Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Automation: Strong proficiency in Python for cloud automation and scripting.
• CI/CD: Practical experience with CodePipeline, Bamboo, and Terraform Enterprise/Cloud.

Security & Governance

• AWS Security: Deep knowledge of IAM (Roles/Policies), CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
• OCI Security: Proficiency in managing Identity Domains, IAM Policies (Allow statements, Compartment‑level access), OCI Logging, and Cloud Guard.
• DNS Management: Managing public and private zones via Route53 and OCI DNS.

Non-Technical Requirements

• Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure incidents.
• Collaboration: Strong cross‑functional teamwork and the ability to translate technical needs for business stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to stay current with evolving cloud technologies in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Certificate

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (core baseline)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (senior‑level)
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate (IaC relevance)

Strong technical and business acumen with the ability to lead a small technical team.
