Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer (DBA Focus) in Kuala Lumpur to deploy, scale, and maintain multi-engine databases on AWS. You will optimize performance, ensure backups, and advise on disaster recovery and cost strategies.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB, plus direct client engagement and strong English communication. AWS certifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree is required.
• Experience with AWS database services (RDS/Aurora) and cloud-based migration.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, scale, and maintain multi-engine database environments on AWS.
• Manage AWS relational and non-relational database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Provide best-practice recommendations on disaster recovery and costs to clients.
