Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Solution Architect – AWS & Alibaba Cloud to support the growth of our cloud partner ecosystem in Malaysia. You will focus on AWS enablement and partner-led opportunities while providing Alibaba Cloud technical support.

You will collaborate with channel partners, vendor teams, and business stakeholders to design cloud solutions, support go‑to‑market activities, and help partners build capability for customer adoption.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud pre‑sales, solution architecture, partner enablement, or channel technical roles with exposure to AWS.
• Solid working knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, EKS, migration, FinOps).
• Familiarity with AWS Partner Network programs, funding mechanisms, and the Well‑Architected Framework.
• Ability to engage confidently with partners, customers, and vendor teams via presentations and workshops.
• Willingness to build Alibaba Cloud capability with business support.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin conversations are a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical support for AWS partner‑led opportunities, including discussions, architecture reviews, sizing, pricing validation, and migrations.
• Design and deliver partner enablement activities such as workshops, immersion days, hands‑on labs, and certification readiness.
• Assist partners with AWS Partner Network requirements, funding programs, solution assets, and Well‑Architected best practices.
• Act as a technical point of contact for AWS alliance and partner solution architect teams across Malaysia and ASEAN.
• Provide technical guidance for Alibaba Cloud opportunities, including scoping, sizing, architecture support, and onboarding.
• Contribute to internal practice development by maintaining readiness and sharing field insights.
