Job summary

Michael Page is assisting a top-tier regional bank in Kuala Lumpur for an AVP, Data Governance role. The position focuses on building and enforcing data governance standards, improving data quality, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will lead governance initiatives, manage data privacy risks, and drive awareness and training programs to embed data governance culture within the bank.

Qualifications

• A strong background in data governance, data management or analytics.
• Proficiency in data governance tools and frameworks.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and data privacy requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of metadata management and data lineage practices.
• A proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related risks.
