Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kulai, Johor is seeking an Automotive Technician / Car Mechanic for our 3S Service Centre. Applicants may hold SKM Level 3 in Automotive or have hands-on workshop experience. The role covers servicing, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs with Proton service standards.

We value teamwork, safety, and willingness to learn. A valid driving license is an advantage. The position is full-time and based in Kulai, Johor.

Qualifications

• SKM Level 3 in Automotive or related qualification.
• Hands-on working experience in an automotive workshop or service centre.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle servicing and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair work.
• Diagnose basic vehicle faults and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform engine oil service, brake service, suspension checks and battery checks.
• Repair or replace vehicle components as required.
• Conduct vehicle inspections according to workshop procedures.
• Ensure repair work is completed properly and on time.
• Report additional repair findings to the Service Advisor or supervisor.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures and Proton service standards.
• Support the workshop team in achieving daily productivity targets.

We are looking for an Automotive Technician / Car Mechanic to join our 3S Service Centre in Kulai.

If you have an SKM Level 3 in Automotive or practical experience working in an automotive workshop, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities

Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair work

Diagnose basic vehicle faults and carry out troubleshooting

Perform engine oil service, brake service, suspension checks, battery checks, and general maintenance

Repair or replace vehicle components when required

Conduct vehicle inspections according to workshop procedures

Ensure repair work is completed properly and within the required timeline

Report additional repair findings to the Service Advisor or workshop supervisor

Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety

Use workshop tools and equipment properly

Follow company SOP, safety procedures, and Proton service standards

Support the workshop team in achieving daily productivity targets

Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

SKM Level 3 in Automotive / Motor Vehicle Technology or related automotive qualification, OR

Relevant hands-on working experience in an automotive workshop, service centre, or vehicle repair environment

Other Requirements

Basic knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair

Able to work hands-on in a workshop environment

Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn

Good teamwork and communication

Able to follow instructions and workshop procedures

Valid driving license is an advantage

Candidates with experience in authorised service centres, independent workshops, tyre shops, fleet maintenance, or general repair workshops are encouraged to apply
