Job summary

Berjaya Corporation seeks a Process Quality Engineer based in Johor Bahru to lead process auditing, quality control, and support for new vehicle launches. You will ensure compliance with work instructions, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications across the General Assembly shop.

You will analyze quality data, manage deviations, and drive corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in mechanical/automotive/industrial/quality engineering.
Minimum 3 years in automotive manufacturing, preferably General Assembly or Launch quality.
Strong knowledge of automotive assembly, process control, and quality inspection.
Experience supporting new model launches, trial production, and ramp-up.
Familiar with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA and Pareto.
Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure during launches and production issues.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily process audits to ensure compliance with process documents and customer specs.
Support new project introduction including process/equipment planning and ramp-up.
Track customer engineering/quality changes and ensure proper implementation on the line.
Identify process deviations, drive containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Analyze quality data and warranty/field issues to identify improvement opportunities.
Apply problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA, Pareto).
Train production teams on process standards and quality control points.
Monitor high-risk processes and escalate timely for corrective actions.
Support vehicle quality improvement including EOL issues and road-test concerns.
