Job summary

A company in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic Grade 3 to work in Bangi & Batu Caves. The mechanic will be responsible for carrying out efficient vehicle repairs and diagnostics while ensuring safety and cleanliness. Candidates should have MLVK/SKM qualifications and 1-3 years of experience, with an advantage for those skilled in Electric Vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years working experience as a Mechanic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in electric vehicle maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out productive and efficient repair work.
• Inspect vehicles and report discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure cleanliness of work area and tools.

REPORTS TO : FOREMAN/ASST MANAGER SERVICE /MANAGER SERVICE

Overview

Responsibilities

• To be productive and efficient in carrying out repair works ensuring of achieving the Productivity, Efficiency and Utilization KPIs.
• To carry out diagnostic and repair work as recorded in the work order and seek guidance or assistance from foreman when need arises/required. If additional repairs are required on the vehicle, to inform and seek approval before proceeding on the additional works.
• To inspect the vehicle against the work order and inform the foreman of any damages on the vehicle found and not recorded in the work order or any discrepancies found.
• Carry out diagnostic and rectification work diligently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Check work done after completion to ensure there is no error/rework. To clocked out task after satisfactory completion of tasks.
• Ensuring the work area/bay is always clean and all jobs are properly carried out and completed on time. Report to foreman if unable to complete any task or complete vehicle on time.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the vehicle after service or repair.
• To report immediately to foreman /service advisor or the service head if any equipment, machine, tools etc. is found faulty or is hazardous

Job Requirements

• MLVK/SKM (Automotif) Tahap 2,3 or 4
• Diploma in Automotive Technology
• 1 to 3 years working experience as a Mechanic
• Experience and Qualification in Electric Vehicle (EV) is an added advantage.
