JIN XING AUTOMOTIVE SDN BHD is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Mechanic / Automotive Aircond Mechanic to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various automotive systems, with a focus on air conditioning components. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our clients' vehicles are running smoothly and comfortably.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues, including mechanical, electrical, and air conditioning systems

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, undercarriage and brake inspections

Interpret technical manuals and schematics to identify and resolve complex problems

Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely completion of work

Ensure all vehicle maintenance and repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications and safetystandards.

Maintain accurate records of all completed tasks and parts used

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the workshop

Ensure working area are clean and tidy

What we're looking for

Completed apprenticeship or formal training in automotive mechanics or air conditioning systems

Minimum 1 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic or Automotive Aircond Mechanic

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently

Good communication skills to liaise with customers and team members

Commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies

Job Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused, organized, and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. As a key point of contact between customers and our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth service experience—from initial appointment to vehicle pick-up. You will communicate recommended services, estimate costs, and coordinate repairs to ensure high customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and assess their service needs in a friendly and professional manner

Write repair orders and explain recommended maintenance and repair work

Provide accurate estimates of labor and parts costs

Communicate with technicians to determine vehicle needs and repair timelines

Maintain customer records, service history, and follow-up status

Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles

Upsell additional services and preventative maintenance when appropriate

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process

Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalate if necessary

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; automotive or technical training a plus

1+ years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automotive role

Knowledge of automotive systems and basic repairs preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to explain technical information in a way customers understand

Demonstrated ability to provide professional and excellent customer service, with a focus on buildingrelationships.

Proficiency with service software and computer systems

Ensure all work meets our high standards, reviewing completed work with customers to ensure theirsatisfaction.

Valid driver’s license
