Job summary

CARSOME Sdn Bhd is hiring an inspector to assess vehicle condition and document findings. You will photograph, report on interiors, exteriors, engines, and more, and support customers after inspections.

The role requires at least 1 year in a related field, a mechanical engineering qualification, and a willingness to work within a retail inspection environment across Malaysia. Based at the Retail Centre.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
• Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment of vehicle condition (interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment).
• Note damage or repair to frame, paint, engine, AC/heater operation, radio, navigation system, tires, etc.
• Provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition; provide reports based on findings.
• Take and upload digital photos during the inspection process.
• Locate, start and move vehicles as directed.
• Utilize computer/app software to submit condition reports.
• Provide prompt and courteous service.
• Follow-up with customers after car inspection.
• Other duties as assigned.
