Job summary

BSTAR AUTOMATION (M) SDN BHD is seeking a technically proficient Automation Technician to join our team in Malaysia. The role involves installing, wiring, and commissioning industrial automation equipment and control panels, with opportunities to assist engineers during testing and system integration.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Automation and possess basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and schematics.

Qualifications

• Diploma or formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of industrial automation systems, electrical wiring, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control panels.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Willing to travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and commission industrial automation equipment, electrical control panels, and machine systems.
• Assist engineers in machine installation, testing, commissioning, and system integration.
• Carry out electrical wiring, panel wiring, cable routing, and field device installation according to engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety procedures and industry standards.

Diploma or formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of industrial automation systems, electrical wiring, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control panels is an advantage.

Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Good working knowledge of PLC, Inverter, 1 or 3 phase power supply, etc

Willing to travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Positive attitude, responsible, and willing to learn.

Possession of a valid driving licence is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
