* Strategic System Design & Development: Lead the end-to-end design, development, programming, and commissioning of advanced automated control systems, primarily utilizing PLC/SCADA-based solutions to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence for our critical life safety and gas detection systems.
* Performance Optimization & Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing automation systems, developing and implementing software and hardware optimizations to maximize efficiency, reliability, and precision. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through innovative automation strategies.
* Advanced Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Conduct in-depth analysis and expert troubleshooting of complex automation system issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime. Implement robust preventative maintenance protocols to guarantee optimal and sustained system performance.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Leadership: Collaborate extensively with engineering, project management, and operational teams to understand evolving client needs, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver tailored automation solutions. * Adherence to Safety & Compliance: Ensure all automated solutions and processes rigorously comply with relevant industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices, particularly within the manufacturing and life safety sectors.
What We're Looking For: Skills & Qualifications
To excel in this challenging yet rewarding role, you should possess:
* Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
* Extensive Automation Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in industrial automation, with a demonstrable strong background in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) and SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
* Programming Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in key programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, and Structured Text. Experience with other high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C#) for integration or data analysis is a significant advantage.
