Job summary

SAMTEC, Inc. is seeking a Technician to maintain and ensure safety of automation and hand-fill equipment in our manufacturing facility.

You will coordinate schedules to ensure adequate technician coverage and work with engineering, quality, and customer service to investigate issues in automated manufacturing. You will manage staff performance and discipline, procure tools and equipment timely, and lead the preventative maintenance program for production machinery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a technician on automated machines in manufacturing.
• 20/40 corrected vision required.
• Capable of lifting 70 lbs from floor to waist.
• Able to stand or sit for 90+ minutes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure general safety of all automation/hand fill equipment.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure adequate technician coverage.
• Manage staff including discipline and performance evaluations.
• Procure tools, supplies, and equipment timely for technicians.
• Coordinate projects to improve quality, throughput, and safety.
• Oversee Preventative Maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and customer service to investigate issues in automated manufacturing.
• Interface with engineering on tooling/machinery for new projects.
• Possible handling of hazardous materials.
