Job summary

TechTiera is seeking an Equipment Engineer to install, commission, operate and manage large automated manufacturing equipment in Penang. You will oversee maintenance, downtime reduction, and staff training while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include PLC programming, AutoCAD drafting, servo adjustment, hydraulic/electrical systems understanding, and continuous improvement projects to optimize productivity and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
More than 5 years of working experience in factory equipment maintenance and management.
Excellent understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and servo motor control.
Good understanding of reading and creating mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams (CAD).

Responsibilities

Installation, commissioning, operation, and management of large automated equipment.
Maintenance of production equipment, shift operation management, and spare parts management.
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of equipment control systems.
AutoCAD drafting, PLC programming, servo adjustment, and pneumatic control.
Equipment standardization, setup, and staff training (preparing work instructions).
Ensure scheduled equipment maintenance is carried out effectively to minimize downtime.
Develop an efficient and cost-effective maintenance program for manufacturing equipment.
Initiate continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
