Job summary

PENTAMASTER CORPORATION BERHAD, a Malaysian investment holding company listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and maintain control programs for manufacturing equipment. The role requires hands-on work with PLCs and programming languages, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

You will work with hardware and software to improve machine performance, provide training, and support customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or Mechatronic.
• 1-2 years of automation experience.
• Knowledge in C, C++, SQL and VB.net programming.
• Knowledge in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain control program for manufacturing equipment
• Write and develop a program based on customer and management requirements
• Run and operate machine, ensure the machine runs according to the specification
• Debugging, troubleshoot and fix the machine according to the specification
• Provide customer service when needed
• Provide training to new recruit programmers
• Utilizes hardware and develop software to control and improve the efficiency of manufacturing equipment
• Modifies and retrofits more advanced and reliable software and hardware into manufacturing equipment to ensure more consistent quality output
• Report on project status in a timely manner and attend meetings with project team
• Carry out projects as assigned by Superior, COO, Group Executive Chairman and/or CEO
