Job summary

DJ Engineering Service Resource in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (Ignition SCADA) to design, develop, and commission industrial automation systems across the ASEAN region.

You will architect Ignition SCADA, MES, and IIoT integrations, work with PLCs and databases, and lead project life cycles from design to commissioning, with opportunities for regional and global automation projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 5+ years Ignition-based automation development.
• Ignition Core and Gold Certification preferred.
• Experience with HMI, MES, and SCADA on Ignition platform.
• Network design for on-premises and cloud.
• OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT protocols proficiency.
• Ignition with MES/ERP integration (SAP a plus).
• Ignition Perspective for process graphics/UI.
• XML/JSON/SOAP/RESTful APIs integration.
• SCADA integration with Siemens PLCs or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel within ASEAN, W Europe, and N America.

Experience with network architecture design, both on-premises and cloud.

Proficient with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and related communication protocols.

Experience integrating Ignition with MES and ERP systems (SAP a plus).

Skilled in Ignition Perspective for developing process graphics and user interfaces.

Knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP, RESTful APIs, and web services integration.

Experience integrating SCADA with Siemens PLCs or equivalent industrial control systems.

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Willingness to travel within ASEAN, Western Europe, and North America for projects or training.
